CAGOP Officially Endorses Tenessa Audette as the Top Choice for State Assembly District 1
In a decisive moment, Tenessa Audette has secured the official sole endorsement of the California Republican Party (CAGOP) for State Assembly District 1, making her the only candidate to receive the party’s backing in this Republican vs. Republican race. This follows her successful achievement in gaining support from all five Republican Central Committees that endorsed candidates in District 1, representing 80% of Republicans, solidifying her as the clear frontrunner and top choice at both the local and state levels.
Audette’s broad coalition of support is evident by the official public endorsements from more than 35 local county elected officials, many citing her depth of experience and qualifications to be effective in the Assembly from day one. Key leaders backing her include Congressman Doug LaMalfa, Senator Shannon Grove, Board of Equalization Member Ted Gaines, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, California Rifle & Pistol Association, and the American Independent Party.
Local endorsements feature Modoc County Sheriff William “Tex” Dowdy, who remarked, “Tenessa is the only candidate I trust to fight for and represent our district—strong on law and order and dedicated to protecting our rural way of life.” Sierra County Supervisor Paul Roen, a respected voice on forest management and rural economic development, has also thrown his support behind Audette, emphasizing her understanding of the region's challenges and her proactive approach.
Modoc County Supervisor Ned Coe, a respected leader, rancher, and advocate for agriculture who endorsed Audette early on said “Tenessa’s understanding of farming and agricultural issues will make her a strong advocate for us in Sacramento. She has the depth of experience we need to be effective right out of the gate.”
“I’m honored to receive the CAGOP’s endorsement,” said Audette. “This campaign is about fighting for the people of the North State and ensuring their voices are heard in Sacramento. We’re ready to win for California, and I look forward to working with leaders across the state to make that happen.”
Audette’s platform includes protecting homeowners from wildfire risks, securing affordable insurance, reducing taxes and fees, ensuring government accountability, and protecting water rights and storage. She is also focused on supporting small businesses, lowering the cost of living, and preserving the family values that make North State communities strong.
