The American Independent Party of California (AIP) has officially endorsed Tenessa Audette, Mayor of Redding as the independent voter’s favored candidate for State Assembly District 1. Audette has received this endorsement due to her practical, common-sense approach to solving California’s most pressing issues, especially in rural communities. Independents across the district recognize Audette as the best choice for providing innovative solutions that prioritize the needs of real people over partisan politics.

"The American Independent Party seeks new leaders who break out of the political status quo to offer real, bold solutions. Tenessa Audette is exactly that kind of leader," said Victor Marani, AIP State Chairman. "Tenessa’s local experience, vision, and strong commitment to stand for the important values that really matter to Californians make her the best candidate for Assembly District 1."

Audette’s campaign has focused on key issues such as lowering the cost of living, proactive forest management and access to affordable homeowners insurance, and ensuring local representation for rural communities. As an experienced leader and public servant, she is dedicated to restoring common sense in Sacramento by challenging bureaucratic inefficiency and prioritizing practical outcomes over political grandstanding.

With the increased political polarization of recent years, more California voters than ever identify themselves as independent. With over 850,000 AIP members state-wide, the AIP is one of the state’s fastest-growing political parties and is committed to supporting independent, forward-thinking candidates. With this endorsement, the AIP affirms its belief that Audette is the candidate who will bring fresh ideas and genuine change to Sacramento.

This significant endorsement is yet another sign of the confidence and trust organizations have in Audette. Other endorsements include the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, California Women’s Leadership Association, Laborers' International Union of North America (LiUNA!), California Rifle and Pistol Association, and the Republican Parties of El Dorado County, Nevada County, Placer County, and Siskiyou County.
