Significant Development in AD 1: Congressman Doug LaMalfa Endorses Tenessa Audette for State Assembly

In the most significant development to date in the campaign for Assembly in California’s First District, today Congressman Doug LaMalfa announced his endorsement of Redding Mayor Tenessa Audette.

Congressman LaMalfa made the announcement standing outside the United States Capitol in a video that can be viewed at https://www.votetenessa.com/press-releases/congressman-doug-lamalfa.

“I’ve been impressed with Tenessa’s work ethic and how hard she is working to get around the district and see the people. It is very important to me to pay attention to our constituents and go out there and be amongst them—learning their issues and providing that access to our legislators,” said LaMalfa. “She’s going to be a great partner in the North State in what we need to do going forward to put California and the North State back on the map, and in a good way.”

“I am deeply grateful to Congressman Doug LaMalfa for his support and for the faith he has placed in me. I look forward to partnering with him in the fight to protect our North State values, families, jobs, and communities” said Audette.

LaMalfa’s endorsement adds to the growing support from elected officials at the city, county, state, and federal levels, including State Senator Shannon Grove, State Assemblywoman Diane Dixon, State Assemblywoman Marie Waldron, and Board of Equalization Member Ted Gaines. Audette has also received endorsements from key organizations including the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, California Women’s Leadership Association, California Rifle and Pistol Association, Laborers' International Union of North America (LiUNA!), the American Independent Party of California, and the Republican Central Committees of Siskiyou, Nevada, El Dorado, and Placer Counties.
