Lassen County Supervisor Tom Neely has endorsed Tenessa Audette, Mayor of Redding and candidate for State Assembly District 1. This endorsement comes on the heels of several other recent endorsements from prominent Lassen County officials and trusted community members.

“Tenessa is bright, knowledgeable, and strategic—with the boldness needed to challenge California’s failed policies," said Neely in his endorsement. "Instead of endless taxpayer-funded government programs and grants, she wants to limit government and streamline its effectiveness. Tenessa’s passion for protecting peoples’ God-given rights against California’s bloated government is a breath of fresh air and we need more leaders like her representing the North State.”

Lassen County District 3 Supervisor Tom Neely has deep roots in Lassen County with a local heritage dating back to the 1800s. His dedication to the community is evident in his services over the years including as a volunteer firefighter, Levitt Lake Water Board member, Lassen County Advisory Fair Board member, 4-H leader, as well as investing in the youth of the region by coaching youth sports.

Neely’s endorsement of Audette highlights their shared value for accessible and responsive representative government, where the people are heard and their individual and property rights are the priority.

Neely is the third elected Lassen County Supervisor or Supervisor Elect publicly endorsing Audette. This signifies the confidence that local trusted leaders have in Tenessa's vision and tenacity to effectively represent District 1.

Neely joins influential leaders and organizations around the North State and California in supporting Audette, including the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, California Women’s Leadership Association, California Rifle and Pistol Association, Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA), Reform California, the El Dorado County Republican Party, the Nevada County Republican Party, the Placer County Republican Party and Siskiyou County Republican Party, former Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, Senator Shannon Grove, and Assemblywoman Marie Waldron.

"I will fight to lower taxes and cost of living while protecting water for farms and ranches. My job is to fight for and represent the North State,” said Audette. “The overreaching California bureaucracy needs to be kept in check, prioritizing the people first. Instead of reactive crisis management, we need to proactively manage natural and fiscal resources better so our communities can thrive. California is broken and the status quo will not fix it. I’m running to shake up Sacramento and be a strong voice for the people.”
